Grad Photographs : Mrs. Perron will be booking the A.E.Cross appointments. Pictures are taken during the week of February 15 -20. Students should sign up for their appointments with Mrs. Perron in the library after Feb 1st..

Grad Mass, Friday, May 7 : The Grad Mass will take place at Lethbridge College at 7:00 p.m. Each grad will receive 5 tickets for family members.

Grad Ceremonies, Saturday, May 8 – These take place at the Lethbridge College gym and begin at 10:00 AM. No tickets are required.

Grad Banquet, Saturday, May 8: Mrs. Fetting will again be in charge of organizing this event. She will have information at the parent meeting. We anticipate 6 tickets per grad (including the graduate). More Banquet Information

Graduation Requirements: Students MUST have completed RS 35 including community service and MUST be on track to accumulate 100 credits by the end of June.

Grad Fees - $120.00 (includes $10.00 refundable deposit on gown). First payment of $40.00 due February 22. Balance of $80.00 due March 19.

Friday, May 7 : Morning and Afternoon Plans

• All Grade 12 classes are cancelled on this day.
• Practice for Grand March and Candle Lighting Ceremony– 8:05, Vasey Hall
  • ALL graduates must attend and be on time
  • Gather in the gym and wait for instructions to line up for grand march practice and candle lighting practice.
• Gown Pick-up 10:00 a.m. – Eggplant at CCH
  • ALL graduates will pick up their gowns and caps after the grand march practice; you will be called from the gym alphabetically.
  • Take your gown and cap home. Put your name in your cap. Be careful not to lose the white stole. Pin it to your gown when you get home.
  • Once you have picked up your gown you are finished with practice unless you are a speaker at Mass, the ceremonies or the banquet.
• Note: Grad Speaker Ceremony Practice – 10:30 a.m. – Lethbridge College Gym
  • Mass speakers will rehearse first at 10:30 - this includes the Commentator, First Reader, Prayers of the Faithful and Offertory Procession
  • Master of Ceremonies, O Canada singer and Valedictorian will meet at LCC Gym to practice with the microphone at about 11:30 a.m.
  • Mrs. Renyk and Mr. Nixon will facilitate this practice.
• Banquet Speakers – 10:30 a.m. – CCH ( Location TBA)
  • Meet to rehearse your toasts and speeches.

Friday, May 7th - Graduation Mass –– Starts at 7:00 p.m. Lethbridge College Gym; Arrive at 6:15 p.m.

• Tickets for guests will be distributed in TA.
• All grads MUST be lined up according to their TA groupings by 6:30 in the hallway between the main entrance and the gym of Lethbridge College .
• You will process into the gym.
• Mass will end about 8:30 p.m.
• You may park anywhere on the Lethbridge College campus. You do not need to pay.

Saturday, May 8th – Graduation Ceremonies– LCC Gym – Start at 10:00 a.m. Arrive at 9:00a.m. Please do not be late or you may miss the group picture.

• ALL grads gather at the FRONT entrance of LCC, by the statue of the miner, and down the hallway by the gym, by 9:00 a.m. There will be signs posted to help you line up according to your TA.
• Wear your gowns and stoles and CAPS with names marked inside. Be sure your tassel is secure. You will be returning your gown immediately after the ceremony so please dress accordingly. You do not need to bring the hanger.
• Line up according to TA groupings, alphabetically. Mrs Koran and Mrs. Perron will facilitate this.
• You may park anywhere on the Lethbridge College campus in designated parking areas. You do not need to pay for parking today.
• There are no tickets required. However, there is only seating for 1350 people so some people may have to stand or sit on the steps of the bleachers.
• At 9:20 a.m. we will process outside in TA groups for the group picture. Wait for instructions from the supervising teachers for this. PLEASE BE IN YOUR TA GROUPS.
• Following the group picture we will return to the hallway for the procession into the gym.
• You will be called to receive your certificates in TA groups. You will process on to the stage, greet Mr. Noyes, move to center stage to receive your certificate, turn to FACE the photographer as you shake hands, and return to your seat.
• Parents are asked NOT to take pictures at this time as it interferes with the photographer’s light.
• After the ceremony, graduates will process out and proceed to the front steps of LCC for the throwing of the hat picture. Please wait for the signal from Mr. Wilson. After the picture, return to the LCC gym to return your gowns and stoles. You will receive your $10.00 refund at this time.

Saturday, May 8th, Graduation Banquet – Enmax Centre- 5:30 p.m. More Banquet Information

• Please arrive early so you can mingle and take pictures outside and still be in your seats by 5:30 .
• Please be sure to move to your banquet tables starting at 5:30 so that we can start the toasts and speeches by 6:00 p.m.
• There will be grace, followed by toasts and greetings, followed by the banquet.
• After the banquet, please move off the floor so the tables can be quickly cleared for the Grand March.
• There will be photographers to take pictures of the students as they come through the arch for the Grand March, and at the centre of the floor where they pose in their larger groups. Hopefully, this will ease the crush of people trying to take pictures from the stands.
• Please remind your parents that no one, other than the students, is allowed on the floor during the Grand March.
