Father Robert (Bob) Chauvin, csb Athletic Therapy/ Fitness Wing

Father Bob was a Basilian priest who served the Catholic Central school community as a teacher, Chaplain and Athletic Therapist form 1975 to 1986. Father Bob was a mentor to students and coaches alike. He was instrumental in having a classroom converted to CCH’s first chapel where students and staff gathered for religious celebrations. Through his leadership the football team would attend regular services in the chapel as part of their playing season; this practice has since extended to include all athletic teams and fine arts students. Father Bob was a quiet, humble man that moved quietly throughout CCH and yet had a big impact on students and staff.

The dedication service took place January 28, 2010

The construction of the Cougar Fitness Centre was completed in January 2002. It has proven to be a wonderful facility that assists in developing healthy, active students and staff. The facility is available during lunch and after school.

Cougar athletic teams utilize the faculty for off season training purposes and both the PE classes and the CALM classes make use of the center.
