Family Oriented Program Sessions (FOPS)

Family Oriented Program Sessions (FOPS) are designed to actively involve the parent, or an alternate caregiver, in the child's educational programming for children receiving PUF (Program Unit Funding).  Family-oriented programming is done under the direction of a certificated teacher, and takes place outside of centre-based programming hours.

This year the format of our Family Oriented Program Sessions has changed so that, for the first half of the meeting, the children play with staff supervision while their parents take part in an information presentation. Parents and children then come together for the second part to implement some of the strategies introduced.
