We recognize the importance of fine arts in providing a balanced education, and students at St. Francis continue to be engaged in a wide range of fine arts programming, including:
drama for grades 7, 8, and 9 (all grade 7 students take 'theatre production' for 1 round of their complementary programming, and may take drama course as well)
choral for grades 7, 8, and 9
band for grades 7 and 8 (grade 9 students may be able to rehearse and perform with CCHS)
strings for grades 8 and 9
art for grades 7, 8, and 9
All of our fine arts programs include theory and performance/display, and students see their work showcased numerous times throughout the school year, including religious celebrations, our annual St. Francis Showcase in September, a Christmas performance/concert/art gallery in December, and numerous touring opportunities to our feeder schools and other community groups. Traditionally, a group of band students also travels for workshops and/or performances on an overnight trip.
