This month, in our Reading Group, we will be working developing  Debating Skills, as we learn how to write a Position Paper.  Our DEBATES will be held in the Garage next Tuesday and Wednesday.  Come listen to our developing debaters!

SHARED STORY WITH CANTON, MICHIGAN: 

                               "The Crystal of Youth"

Our class has connected with a grade 5 class from Workman Elementary School in Canton, Michigan. We have already skyped with them and shared comments on our blogs. Now, we are writing a story together. We wrote the first part and sent it to them. They illsutrated our part and then wrote the next two paragraphs before sending it back. Language Arts:      (June 4-15th)                      

•  Spelling: Finish -ic words -  Lesson 12  

• Debates and Position Papers finished by June 12th

•  Math:

• finish chapter 8 in workbook:  Measurement, Perimeter, Area, Volume

• Social Studies:  -write notes about Confederation and teach class

• Field Trips:  1) Ft. Whoop Up  (Friday, 8:30)
•                        2) Wetland Study (Friday, June 15th, 9:00)  -bring boots and net
