AHS Increasing Awareness About the Dangers of PMMA/Ecstasy - Feb 21,2012 |
| |
On February 7, 2012, Alberta Health Services (AHS) forwarded information to all School Board Superintendents about an increased number of deaths associated with PMMA/Ecstasy use in Alberta.
As a result, the AHS is asking parents, teachers, and school leaders to promote awareness and information about the drug, ensuring that our youth understand the tragic reality that:
- there is no safe street drug;
- there is no safe dose; and,
- no one is immune to risk.
The AHS has a number of resources available, from education and awareness, to support and treatment. For more information visit www.albertahealthservices.ca, or contact any of the helplines provided. |
