St. Patrick School (Taber) Receives the “2014 Betty Grigg Inclusive Education Award” - May 09,2014

Holy Spirit Catholic School Division is pleased to announce that St. Patrick School, in Taber, has recently been recognized by the Lethbridge Association for Community Living for their "2014 Betty Grigg Inclusive Education Award."  The award recognizes and honours a school in southern Alberta that displays a culture of inclusion in both leadership and in action.

According to the Zanolli family, who nominated St. Patrick School, "They [the school] have always supported our son's unique needs, and went above and beyond in educating their staff, students and families about Autism.  They choose to focus on his abilities versus his deficits and work to build upon those strengths."

"St. Patrick School staff are truly focused on ensuring that all of our students succeed in reaching their potential," notes Principal Rachael Andrew, "We are simply honoured and humbled to have received this meaningful award."

The Lethbridge Association for Community Living plans to honour the school at the, "Spring Fling Dinner Dance and Auction," they are hosting on Friday, May 9, 2014.
