Modernization Approved for St. Patrick School in Taber - Oct 16,2015

The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division has just received notice that Alberta Education has approved the much-needed modernization project for St. Patrick School in Taber.

"The Value Management Study conducted last year illustrated the need to modernize this building in order to enhance learning opportunities for our students," states Superintendent Chris Smeaton. "I am extremely pleased that the government has recognized this need and responded so promptly."

Pat Bremner, the Trustee for Ward 5 and the representative for St. Patrick School, expresses excitement and gratitude for her community in response to this announcement. "It's so wonderful to know that the children of St. Patrick School will be preparing for their futures in a learning environment that is more appropriately geared for the 21st Century."

Alberta Infrastructure is slated to take the lead on the project's management.  Though there is no set date on when the project will commence, messages from Alberta Education indicate that every effort will be made to ensure that the project is successfully completed in a financially prudent and timely manner.

Please join the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division and the St. Patrick School community in celebrating the announcement of this upcoming modernization.
