Electronics and the Developing Brain - January 19, 2017 - Jan 19,2017
 

This free event is open to all parents, grandparents, caregivers, educators and community members (it takes a village to raise a child!).  Hosted by the Lethbridge Early Years Coalition, the information session will be held on:

January 19, 2017 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
at the Lethbridge Public Library, Main Branch, Theatre Gallery

 

Christie Schipper, a practicing Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist with Children's Allied Health in Lethbridge, will provide a presentation that will look at:

  • How does a typical brain develop?
  • What happens to an infant's brain if the child is neglected?
  • The amazing things electronics can do...and have done for us
  • Mind blowing stats on electronic use today
  • Best and worst electronic toys
  • Violence, video games, brain outcomes
  • Detailed recommendations on how to safely implement the use of electronics for infants, toddlers, kids, and teens
