ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - St. Joseph School Coaldale

The Holy Spirit Catholic Board of Education requires a full time continuous 35.0 hour per week Administrative Assistant (10 month) at St. Joseph School Coaldale to commence at the start of the 2019-2020 school year. Please quote Posting #20190601.

Under the direction of the principal, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative and secretarial duties of the school. This person will assist the school administrators, staff, students, parents and the public to benefit the school community. Confidentiality is of utmost importance in achieving the common good for all students. Through collaborative team-based structure, the Administrative Assistant will carry out tasks as assigned by the Principal.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:

  • Two (2) year office administration program with accounting or equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • One (1) year office experience (preferably in a school setting)

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in computer skills including all Microsoft Office Applications and Google Suite
  • Knowledge of office equipment and procedures
  • Website Maintenance
  • Student Information Systems (PowerSchool)
  • School Financial Platforms

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Organizational skills/time management
  • Communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to work under stress and deadlines
  • Excellent public relations skills
  • Work independently and show initiative
  • Professional attitude
  • Confidentiality
