Holy Spirit Catholic School Division is pleased to announce that the following individuals have accepted new roles in our division for the 2023/2024 school year.

 


June 9, 2023 Release

Travis Magierowski, Associate Principal, St. Teresa of Calcutta School, Lethbridge

Travis MagierowskiAfter graduating from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Arts and Education, Travis Magierowski started his career in Horizon School Division. He came to Holy Spirit Catholic School Division in 2018 as Associate Principal of Father Leonard Van Tighem School and has since completed a Master of Education in Education Leadership with the University of New Brunswick. Passionate about fostering genuine relationships and working collaboratively to support all learners, Travis looks forward to working, growing, and learning alongside the students, staff, and families of St. Teresa of Calcutta School.

 

Laurie Campmans, Associate Principal, Father Leonard Van Tighem (FLVT) School, Lethbridge

Laurie CampmansLaurie Campmans is a dedicated, dynamic Catholic school teacher with a passion for inclusive education who enjoys facilitating extracurricular activities. She has experience teaching Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior High, High School and Post-Secondary students in both single sex and co-ed settings, as well as in the English and French Immersion streams. She has been part of FLVT school community for 17 years and holds a Master's of Education with a focus in Special Education from the University of Lethbridge. Ms. Campmans looks forward to serving the FLVT school community in this new capacity, continuing to contribute to the school's culture in diverse and meaningful ways.

 

Shelley Kirkvold, Coordinator of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Education

Shelley KirkvoldAs a dedicated and passionate teacher for over 14 years, Shelley is grateful to be a lifelong learner. She is honoured to continue to serve in the role of Coordinator of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Education and looks forward to supporting staff and students in the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division’s priority: Living Truth and Reconciliation.

 

 


April 20, 2023 Release

Kevin Kinahan, Principal, St. Michael's School, Bow Island

Kevin KinahanMr. Kinahan is a committed Catholic educator with over 30 years of experience.  He has worked as a teacher and, for the past 20 years, an administrator in elementary, junior, and senior high schools in both urban and rural settings. Kevin continually demonstrates the value of developing community relationships that benefit students and I look forward to witnessing where his leadership will take St. Michael’s School over this upcoming school year.

 


April 19, 2023 Release

Jana Boschee, Associate Principal, Children of St. Martha School, Lethbridge

Jana BoscheePrior to teaching at the Universities of Lethbridge and Calgary, Jana worked for 17 years as an elementary teacher in Holy Spirit Catholic School Division, serving the communities of St. Mary School (Taber), St. Basil School, St. Paul School, and St. Teresa of Calcutta. With her extensive experience in a variety of educational settings, Jana has developed an innovative and child-centred approach to learning and literacy. Currently holding a Master's of Education in Literacy Education from the University of Lethbridge, she will defend her dissertation toward a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Research from the University of Calgary this year.

 

Dale Comchi, Associate Principal, Catholic Central High School, Lethbridge

Dale Comchi

After receiving a Bachelors of Commerce from the University of Calgary in 1998 and a Bachelors of Education from the University of Lethbridge in 2004, Dale began his teaching career with Holy Spirit Catholic School Division in 2005, serving the communities of Catholic Central High School, St. Patrick Fine Arts Elementary, and Children of St. Martha School. He looks forward to continuing his career in this new capacity, developing his leadership skills while continuing to embrace and promote a faith-based education that meets the needs of all unique learners.

 

Justin Molas, Associate Principal, Father Leonard Van Tighem School, Lethbridge

Justin Molas

New to the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division, Justin Molas comes with extensive middle school experience, having taught grades 5 to 8 over the past eight years with Lethbridge School Division. Justin holds a combined Bachelors of Science and Bachelors of Education from the University of Lethbridge and has recently completed his Masters of Education in Educational Leadership, also from the University of Lethbridge. Noting that students are at the centre of all his decision-making, he is looking forward to the new responsibility of enhancing the faith life already present at Father Leonard Van Tighem School.

 


March 15, 2023 Release

Janet Clamp, Principal, Children of St. Martha School, Lethbridge

Janet ClampMrs. Clamp has served Holy Spirit Catholic School Division since she became an educator in 2005. She has taught a variety of grades and subjects to students at St. Mary School in Taber, St. Catherine School in Picture Butte, and École St. Mary in Lethbridge. In 2019, she accepted the role of Associate Principal at Children of St. Martha School, where she has been serving ever since. 

“It will be a blessing to continue work alongside a strong teaching staff as we continue nurturing the whole child, supporting Catholic education, academic growth and celebrating the success of each student.”

Ryan Myndio, Principal, St. Paul School, Lethbridge

Ryan Myndio

With 25 years of diverse educational experience, Ryan began his career at Catholic Central High School. He taught there for 10 years before expanding his horizons by taking on different International teaching and administrative positions in Europe, the Middle East, and ‘Down Under.” He returned to Canada in 2021, and accepted a position as an Associate Principal at Catholic Central High School.

“I feel incredibly privileged and blessed to be given the opportunity to continue my educational journey with the community and staff at St. Paul School. Revisiting elementary classrooms as a leader has been a priority of mine since returning to Canada, and I plan to continue building relationships with the community, our caring staff, and the young hearts at St. Paul."

Patti Pilsner, Principal, St. Teresa of Calcutta School, Lethbridge

Patti PilsnerAs an educator, Mrs. Pilsner brings over 25 years of experience. She has proudly served the communities of St. Francis Junior High School in Lethbridge, Waimokoia School in New Zealand, and St. Joseph School in Coaldale. In 2012, she accepted the role of Associate Principal at Father Leonard Van Tighem, where she continues to dedicate her time and expertise.

“I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues, engaging with the families, and building positive relationships with the students to create a safe, supportive and enriching environment.”

Shannon Collier, Principal, Father Leonard Van Tighem, Lethbridge

Shannon Collier

Mrs. Collier has agreed to serve as Principal of Father Leonard Van Tighem for the upcoming year. 

Shannon brings 27 years of diverse educational experience to this position.  She has served the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division for the past eight years, working as an administrator at Children of St. Martha School.
