December 16, 2021 - 12:44 p.m.
Today, December 16, 2021, school and division administration were made aware of a potential threat directed towards the students and staff of St. Francis Junior High School.
Lethbridge Police Services (LPS) were contacted immediately and continue to investigate.
There is no imminent threat to staff or students.
However, out of an abundance of caution, Ecole St. Mary, St. Francis Junior High School, and Catholic Central High School (East Campus) will remain closed to all external visitors and students will be kept indoors while police continue their investigation. CCH students using the shuttle to access the opposite campus for afternoon classes will be permitted to do so.
In order to ensure that school phone lines remain open, we ask that parents refrain from calling the schools at this time.
