newest club, the Interact Club (Short for "International Action") recognizes
that there is year-round need by individuals and groups around the world. What is more impressive about the formation
of this club though, is that its creation has been initiated by students and
continues to be run by them.
Club's biggest fundraiser, "The Global Gala," is set to take place this coming
Saturday, June 11, 2016, and will benefit "The Red Cross for Fort McMurray
Wildfire Relief Fund" and "Shelterbox Canada," an organization that provides
emergency shelter relief and basic necessities to areas of the world suffering
from natural disasters.
and The Weatherman" are proudly providing the entertainment for the evening's
festivities. Ms. Rossiter notes that she
is very impressed with the work the students have done to put the event
together, "They have brought in sponsors, gathered silent auction items,
arranged for the dinner and entertainment and booked the facility. This is an
amazing undertaking for a group of students who were extremely busy with exams
and graduation during the time they were planning this event."
