What is human trafficking? Do You Know Someone At Risk?!?

Human trafficking is here - in Alberta and all across Canada. Human trafficking involves the recruitment, transportation or harbouring of persons for the purpose of exploitation (typically in the sex industry or for forced labour).

You will learn about the tricks traffickers use to deceive the vulnerable people they exploit & how to help the women & men enslaved to heal.

Myth = human trafficking is just another word for prostitution

= 4.5 million people are trafficked into sex trades while 16.4 million go into forced labour (factories, farms, domestic servitude)

David & Cathy Bouchard, board members of Magdalene House Society in Red Deer, will be presenting on this important social justice topic.  Magdalene House Society is a charitable organization that provides a safe environment for the full recovery of people exploited by human trafficking.

If you are a parent, grandparent, boy, girl, friend or relative this presentation is for you!!

There will be a free-will collection with all proceeds going to this Society.
