Holy Spirit to host its first-ever First Nations, Metis & Inuit Career Fair - posted until - Jan 17,2019

Holy Spirit Catholic School Division is very proud to be hosting its first-ever First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Career Fair.

"Our research shows that schools that reflect and celebrate First Nations, Métis and Inuit cultures provide environments for student engagement and success," explains Division Principal Annette Bruised Head, "particularly for those with a shared ancestry. By hosting this Career Fair, we want to create an opportunity for First Nations, Métis and Inuit professionals and para-professionals to become better acquainted with our school division, to ask questions and to consider using their talents to serve the needs of all of our students."

When asked about the positions available, Deputy Superintendent Brian Macauley, who is in charge of the division's Human Resources, notes, "At the present time, we are looking to fill a wide variety of jobs: teachers, educational assistants, office staff, First Nations, Métis and Inuit support workers, counsellors and custodians.  But more than just the job, we are looking for dedicated employees to support our students.  All the better if those individuals are able to provide expertise in Blackfoot language instruction in a spiritually rich environment."

All are welcome to attend the event, which will be held at:

Sik-Ooh-Kotoki Friendship Centre
(1709 2nd Avenue South)
Thursday, January 17, 2019
from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
