Holy Spirit Catholic Schools is committed to ensuring all First Nations, Métis and Inuit students are successful in completing high school. To assist students and families, we have established Graduation Coach Programs in three schools:
- Catholic Central High, Lethbridge
- St. Francis Junior High, Lethbridge
- Father Leonard Van Tighem School, Lethbridge
- St. Michael’s School, Pincher Creek
Goals of the Graduation Coach Program:
Ongoing programming: - High School Completion
- Academic Excellence
- Student Retention
- Work directly with students for academic support
- Monitor student academic and attendance - may provide direct interventions or facilitate interventions with classroom teachers
- Assist students in transitioning from grade to grade or school to school
- Guide students in meeting graduation requirements
- Facilitate transitioning to post-secondary
- Facilitate relationships with elders and/or other cultural knowledge keepers
